The physicians of Nephrology Specialists of Oklahoma provide comprehensive care to patients suffering from a wide spectrum kidney disorders. Office consultative care is available for patients experiencing either acute kidney injury or chronic kidney disease. Hospital consultation is provided for patients suffering from acute kidney injury, chronic kidney disease, or conditions requiring kidney replacement therapies.
For patients receiving extracorporeal renal replacement therapies (all forms of hemodialysis or peritoneal dialysis), both inpatient and outpatient programs are available. A vascular access center for the maintenance of surgically created arteriovenous fistulae or grafts and the insertion and removal of temporary or permanent hemodialysis catheters is staffed by specially trained physicians in our practice.
Finally, in partnership with the transplant surgeons of Urology Specialists of Oklahoma and the Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa, patients with end-stage kidney failure may be evaluated for and, if qualified, may undergo kidney transplantation. In addition to 13 board-certified nephrologists, the practice employs three advanced practitioners, making it the largest nephrology practice in Oklahoma.
